Japan Fact: The tsunami cracked icebergs

Scientists have discovered that waves from the tsunami cracked parts of an Antarctic ice shelf that hadn’t moved in 46 years. Though the waves were minuscule (one foot high) when they reached Antarctica, they were consistent enough to crack icebergs that were 260 feet thick and more than twice the size of Manhattan in combined surface area.
